Llandudno Pier’s Happy Valley entrance set for huge refurb

This will involve the replacement of three x 16 metre girders, two x 10 metre girders, side fencing and the entire wooden decking from the entrance all the way up to the Ice Cream Kiosk.

The entire section will be scaffolded from the top all the way underneath supported by a further two x 18 metre girders.

Paul Williams, Pier General Manager, said: “We will confirm a start date and potential opening date nearer to the time and will update the general public as the work progresses.

“Adam Williams and his family continue to invest into the future of Llandudno Pier so generations can enjoy for years to come. The works to be completed will be in the hundreds of thousands of pounds.

“This project is on top of the steel replacements that have been carried out in the past few months along with replacing sections of decking and the current repaint.

“We thank to local community and businesses for their continued support.”

Between November 2023 and Easter 2024, essential work was carried out on the substructure of Llandudno Pier.

The work was described as “strenuous” and “time consuming”.

The pier stretches 2,295 feet (700m) over the sea.
