Glyn Lister played for the Seasiders in his youth, and went on to become its treasurer, a board member and remained a lifelong member of the club.
The club said Lister was a “true gentleman and friend to many”, and highlighted his “commitment, generosity and tirelessness” throughout some of the club’s most memorable times.
A club statement read: “Everyone at Llandudno FC is deeply saddened by the passing of former player, treasurer, board member and lifelong member, Glyn Lister.
“Glyn devoted so much of his life to the club. A true gentleman and friend to many, his commitment, generosity and tireless volunteer work played a vital role in some of the club’s greatest achievements, including our memorable European campaign in 2016.
“Our heartfelt condolences are with Glyn’s family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
“Rest in peace, Glyn. Thank you for everything.”
Assistant manager Grant Montgomery also paid tribute, adding: “We are all deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of Glyn Lister. He was a true gentleman.
“Glyn played for Llandudno Football Club as a young man and was a cracking player, but it was in his retirement that he devoted so much of his time to the club as a volunteer.
“He was instrumental in our previous success at Llandudno FC, working alongside Alan Morgan to help guide the club through some unforgettable years.
“One of the most memorable moments we shared together was our European campaign in 2016.
“Glyn was the best treasurer we ever had, and I’m sure I speak for so many people when I say thank you, Glyn.
“We’re going to miss you, and you will always be remembered.”
