Six months of work at North Shore will get underway this week.
Major works are set to get underway on Llandudno’s famous promenade. The resort’s North Shore may not have secured the additional millions of pounds for a 600 metre beach but Welsh Government is funding improvements to flood protections.
Conwy council secured £5.2m from Welsh Government for North Shore and West Shore. This will include an improved and extended “set-back wall” – an added feature that will enhance protection beyond the 1 in 200 Standard of Protection(SoP).
They are due to get underway this week – starting near the paddling pool. The sea-side footpath and parking will be closed from near the RNLI to Ffynnon Sadwrn Lane while work is carried out.
This work is scheduled to finish before Easter 2025.
