Ffin y Parc Gallery, has made the move to Trinity Square, Llandudno after being based in Llanrwst for several years, with an opening slated for St David’s Day, March 1.
The gallery is owned by Ralph Sanders and Roland Powell, who established it in 2010 and have overseen its transformation into the biggest commercial art gallery in Wales.
Ahead of the opening, the gallery teased some pieces by Denbigh artist and Sarah Carvell, the gallery’s first solo exhibition in the town.
The opening also coincides with Ms Carvell’s 60th birthday.
The new Ffin y Parc will showcase the best of Welsh art, and will present the work of up to 40 artists, all Wales-based or Welsh-influenced, with a “mixed collection” of up-and-coming artists and more established ones.
A spokesperson for the gallery said: “Very excited to give you a little taster of Sarah Carvell’s solo exhibition starting 1 March 2024 celebrating both her 60th birthday and our debut show in the new space in Llandudno!”
