Person taken to hospital after motorbike crash near Llandudno Junction

A PERSON was taken to hospital following a crash near Llandudno Junction yesterday afternoon (August 21).

Police were called to the incident, involving a car and a motorbike on the A470, just before 12.30pm.

The Welsh Ambulance Service Trust (WAST) also attended, with the casualty taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital in Rhyl.

The road was reopened more than two hours after the incident was reported.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.26pm yesterday reporting a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A470 near Llandudno Junction.

“The road was closed whilst officers, along with colleagues from WAST, dealt with the incident.

“One person was taken to hospital and the road reopened at approximately 2.45pm.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said “We were called on Sunday, August 21, at 12:28pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and motor bike, on A470, Llandudno Junction.

“We sent one emergency ambulance and a rapid response vehicle to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance.

“One person was taken by road to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital for further treatment.”
