Llandudno library may relocate to Venue Cymru

The relocation is part of £10m levelling up investment secured from the last UK Government.

A £10 million Levelling Up initiative may involve relocating Llandudno’s library and tourism information service from the town center to Venue Cymru. Conwy council secured funding from the previous UK Government to expand the seaside theatre and events center.

According to the council, this move would result in extended operating hours for the library and complement the cultural offerings at the complex. However, this change would entail the removal of these amenities from the heart of the resort, which has already been affected by the departure of Marks and Spencer from Mostyn Street. Currently, the library is located near the Victoria Shopping

This relocation would also provide an on-site café and a variety of cultural activities in conjunction with the library service. The library would be located on the ground floor, offering improved accessibility for individuals with disabilities, limited mobility, or those using strollers.”
