A BREEZY morning in July saw Llandudno Sailing Club back on the water for the first time this year.
Risk assessments have been updated and new procedures introduced to ensure the organisation is ‘covid secure’.
A spokesperson for the sailing club said: “In line with government ruling on organised outdoor activity, five boats launched in South Westerly wind.
“Led by commodore Rosy Hearn, who was in the safety boat, the sailors enjoyed testing but exhilarating conditions with club members spectating on the promenade.”
The clubhouse and car park have been taken over by the health board as part of the Ysbyty Enfys and part of the boat park houses oxygen tanks.
The spokesperson added: “If conditions are favourable, it is hoped that sailing will continue through August with more members joining in these sessions.”
